Effective January 2011, ARES Tenth District adopted Narrow Band Emergency Messaging System (NBEMS) / FLDIGI as the primary package for digital sound card mode communications.
Volunteers are encouraged to download FLDIGI, FLMSG, AND FLWRAP from http://www.w1hkj.com/download.html FLMSG is Form Based Message Handling. It allows the user to send ICS213 and ARRL Radiograms. WRAP is a valuable part of FLDIGI as it allows the user to send Bulletins, spreadsheets, etc to multiple stations at one time.
Western Pennsylvania Section has a great website for training and help with NBEMS and Fldigi. It can be found at www.wpanbems.org.
