Ohio ARES® Tenth District is proud to sponsor this special event station.  It will primarily be used to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America.  The other purpose of this station will be to expose amateur radio to all scouts and the general public.  All currently licensed amateur radio operators are welcome to participate. 

There will be a drawing for a $25.00 gift certificate to Amateur Electronic Supply.  This drawing is for currently licensed amateur radio operators only.  Drawing entries only cost ONE DOLLAR!  You MUST be at the EXPO X to enter and MUST be present to win!  All proceeds will go to ARRL Ham Aid.

Certificates will be available for all contacts made via amateur radio.  Please send an self-addresses stamped envelope to the address below.

WHAT IS EXPO X?

EXPOX is a celebration of The Boy Scouts of America and a showcase of Scouting ideals, traditions and values.  Scouts from across the Greater Western Reserve Council and other councils from Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and possibly other states will gather for a weekend of camping and activities.  The public is invited to the Exposition Showcase on Saturday of the event.  There will be something for the whole family to enjoy.

Scouting EXPOX will take place on Friday, April 30 - Sunday, May 2, 2010.  The Exposition Showcase will take place on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Geauga County Fairgrounds in Burton, Ohio.

All scouts, leaders, parents, family and friends in Trumbull, Mahoning, Cuyahoga, Lorain, Summit, Portage, Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties as well as our council neighbors will be invited thru direct mail, advertising, training courses, roundtables, scout meetings, web pages and news articles.  Dignitaries, special guests, scouts and families from other parts of the state will be invited as well.  Many supportive agencies and partners of scouting will also be invited to share their resources at the Exposition Showcase on Saturday.  Thousands of people are expected to participate in one way or another throughout the course of the weekend.
